Tanjinah Ferdous is a NIHR CRN Research Audiologist and a Specialist Diagnostic Audiologist at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals (RNENTEDH). She has 9 years clinical experience, has specialised in diagnostic audiology for the past 5 years, and has extensive research experience.
She is the North Thames Co-Regional Lead, the RNENTEDH Co-Site Lead and a member of the central academic team for the SeaSHeL study. Tanjinah’s role as a Research Audiologist involves supporting the following studies: REGAIN clinical trial, AUDIBLE-S clinical trial, VeRMiS study, and the Molecular and Genetic Analysis of Otosclerosis study. Tanjinah is also a Co-Investigator for the study ‘monitoring ototoxicity in patients undergoing treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy for sarcoma and testicular cancer using tablet based self-administered hearing tests.’
For the past two and a half years Tanjinah has been the NIHR CRN North Thames Audiology Champion which involves supporting and creating capacity and capability in hearing research within the region. She works closely with fellow NIHR CRN Audiology Champions across the UK to promote and raise awareness of hearing, tinnitus and balance studies on the NIHR CRN portfolio.
