Nischay is a Consultant Otologist and Auditory Implant Surgeon at the Royal National ENT hospital with joint BRC appointment at UCL’s Ear Institute to explore the role of data sciences in hearing loss. He is the INTEGRATE Otology Chair.
Nishchay undertook a Wellcome Grant funded PhD to explore regional surgical rate variations by combining large national primary and secondary healthcare datasets and phenotyping medical conditions and treatments using routinely entered diagnostic and treatment codes. He also undertook a national multicentre observational study of decision making for adults with recurring tonsillitis.
Additionally, as part of the INTEGRATE steering committee of the inaugural study he designed the Redcap data collection tool for the award winning national epistaxis audit and is currently leading a study to develop core outcomes in otitis externa.
